About TechShield Tools
TechShield Tools is a free collection of online calculators and everyday tools, built to give clear, accurate answers to common money and life questions — without sign-ups, paywalls, or clutter.
What we do
We build calculators for the questions people actually ask — what a mortgage really costs, how fast a debt clears, whether renting beats buying, how much house you can afford, how savings grow. Alongside money tools, we cover everyday needs like percentages, BMI, unit conversion and more. New tools are added regularly.
How our calculators are built and checked
We take accuracy seriously, because these tools help people make real decisions.
- Standard formulas. Our financial calculators use the same established formulas that banks, lenders and financial professionals use — for example, the standard amortization formula for loan payments and the future-value formula for compound growth. Each tool shows its formula so you can see exactly how the result is produced.
- Independent testing. Every calculator is tested against known reference values before it goes live. For instance, a $200,000 loan at 6% over 30 years must return the widely published payment of about $1,199 per month — if it doesn't, we fix it.
- Plain-language explanations. Each page explains the method in everyday terms and answers common questions, so you understand the number rather than just reading it.
- Corrections welcome. If you ever spot a result that looks wrong, tell us on the Contact page and we will investigate and correct it promptly. Getting the math right matters more to us than anything else.
Your privacy comes first
Every calculation runs entirely inside your own browser. The numbers you type are never sent to a server, stored, or shared. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
Editorial independence and limitations
TechShield Tools is independent. Our calculators and explanations are not sponsored by any lender, bank or product provider, and we do not tailor results to favor anyone.
TechShield Tools provides general information and estimates for educational purposes only, and not professional financial, medical, or legal advice. Real quotes and outcomes depend on your specific circumstances, so for major decisions we encourage you to confirm figures with a qualified professional. Please see our full Disclaimer.
